Workshops and special class offerings in different genres are taught by instructors trained in that genre of dance. These classes consist of specific age appropriate movements to complement what would be expected at that age in ballet and not beyond what their bodies are prepared to do.
Classes for ages 7 and up at Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Levels offered at different times in different locations may include: Tap-historical dances and combinations, rhythm tap; Jazz-classical and contemporary; Lyrical-based on jazz, ballet and modern dance; Modern Dance-different variations including the history and learning the movements made by the founders of Modern Dance; Acro dance -tumbling and dance moves based on jazz, hip-hop, ballet or lyrical are put together to form what might be similar to a gymnastic floor routine; Drama and Dance-in various workshops we perform stories and dancers must learn how to mime and act to get the idea across without words; Hip Hop-different variations including liquid dance, popping, whatever the instructor's expertise; Bellydance,Scarf dancing, Tumbling, Bollywood,Yoga, Dance Fitness.
Some classes in these genres may be offered for dancers 4-6. Specific ballet workshops are offered for ages 10+ throughFront Range Classical Ballet Academy through the year and summer.
